September Drifted In

Anabelle decided to grow her own sunflower.

I got a bunch of free samples from Redmond. We already love their sea salt and now I love their Earthpaste and clay!

Journey Church had a BBQ earlier this month. (And recently celebrated their 4th birthday.) They did baptisms at the BBQ.

Anabelle playing in the bouncy house. (Can you see her in the purple shirt?)

She got a kitty painted on her cheek.

Here she is learning to rope.

And having lots of fun trying!

Justin and hubby hanging out.

Anabelle decided Nutmeg needed to wear her doll's tutu. Gary made her do her "dance" to show off the tutu.

So cute. LOL.

Nutmeg is such a good sport. ;) She wore the tutu all day until we took it off to go to bed.

Anabelle's school had their field day. I volunteered and ran one of the games. I wished I had gotten more pics! I just got this one of her doing the sack race.

On my walk home from the school I saw this bull elk relaxing in the shade.

Around the corner from Mr. Elk were three deer (one a youngin) resting in the shade.

Then I saw two more deer a few houses up from our house. This is one of those spots the deer like, so I see them by this house often.

Last Friday Anabelle had her assessment appointment (reading test) with her teacher. On our walk home from school, she picked up lots of leaves, she is leaf obsessed lately. She also wore her ballerina outfit all day.

Yesterday my little girl turned 8 yrs old! She wanted me to bake her a chocolate cake. I baked two layers and put frosting in the middle. This was my first experience making a cake like this. Those cake shows make it look easy. I was just happy it came out okay looking for my first try. I have to say, cake making/decorating is not my forte. ;) I put yellow sprinkles on it. There are 8 candles, but one is hiding in the picture.

The birthday girl!

Hard to believe she is 8 already!

Next weekend is Justin's birthday!

Love all the cute pics. The cake looked great. I'm not good at decorating them either.

Oh my gosh! Her haircut is adorable! I must have missed when you had it done!
Happy Birthday Miss AnaBear!:) Hope you had a great day!
(so sorry I've been falling down on the job with that stuff Jess! My head is in my bum lately!)

When did Justin get so tall and starting to look like a young man instead of a boy?
Your cake looks lovely! Layers are not my thang. lol Mine usually look like the leaning tower of pisa.

Randa, she cut it off just before school started in Aug. She donated it to Locks of Love! I think I just posted the pics to Facebook at the time. I'm trying to get back into blogging more, my head is in the bum way too often anymore!

Justin will be 12 soon, he's *almost* as tall as me, kinda scary LOL.

lol Aly is only 11 1/2 and she is just an inch or so shorter than I am. God gave my legs to someone else when He created me.

That's so sweet! Yeah without FB I don't see much! lol

Hiya Jessica! Came to catch up with your family life and bakings. I noticed it's Justin's birthday today, so happy birthday to him, and belated birthday wishes to Anabelle also!

Hehee, Nutmeg makes a cute ballerina in her tutu. LOL

That church BBQ looks like a lot of fun with the bouncy castle, face painting etc. I remember that you once were looking for a new church, and I'm glad you seem to have found a place you enjoy and are comfortable with.

Today's the official first day of autumn, so happy fall, Jessica & co.!
